For the last 29 years, the restaurants of J. Alexander’s Holdings, Inc. have taken great pride in the role we have played in our local communities. The health and comfort of our guests and employees have always been our highest priority, and it is a responsibility that we do not take lightly.
While we have consistently maintained the highest-industry standards for sanitation in our restaurants, in this time of heightened concern relating to the COVID-19/Coronavirus, we wanted to make you aware of increased protocols being implemented including, but not limited to, increasing the awareness of the need for proper handwashing on a frequent basis by all members of our staff, increasing the frequency of daily cleaning practices at high touch point locations within the restaurants and providing our staff with extra hand-sanitation stations throughout the restaurants, requiring our kitchen staff and others in appropriate positions in the front of the house to utilize gloves as an extra precaution and to sanitize our menus after each use. We have also temporarily adjusted our linen program to reduce the replacement of or refolding of used linen if you leave your seat in the restaurant. In addition, we are making sure that any of our employees who feel sick are instructed to stay home and are expanding programs in place that will allow for compensating any of our hourly employees who are affected by the Coronavirus, either directly or through mandatory action taken by governmental authorities.
We are monitoring the news and advice from the Center for Disease Control (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO) and the various state health departments we regularly interact with and will adapt our policies as appropriate in response to their collective directives. This situation is highly fluid and, as such, we may be required to adjust our hours of operation at selected locations in response to the latest updates.
During this time, all our dining room guests can rest assured that they will receive the level of professional service they’ve come to expect at our restaurants. In addition, in anticipation of requests for call-in orders, all of our restaurants will be taking steps to accommodate such requests.

About Overland Park Grill
After being a part of the Overland Park community for over two decades, we decided that our name should reflect our dedication and gratefulness to the wonderful and loyal patrons of our restaurant. We have changed the name of this location to the Overland Park Grill in recognition of that loyalty. Though the name has changed, management has not, nor has the commitment to professional, hospitable service and high-quality “from scratch” cuisine.
